Ep 11: My 2026 Business Resolutions: Ease, Elevate & Monthly Minis
Welcome back to the Kelsi Bailey Photography Podcast — and welcome to Part Two of this little year-end mini series! In Episode 10, I shared a bird’s-eye view of 2025: what worked, what didn’t, and what I’m changing. Today, we’re turning that reflection into action with my 2026 business resolutions.
For the first time in all my years of business, I actually sat down with intention, clarity, and time (praise be!) to map out what I want the next year to look and feel like for both myself and my clients.
This episode walks you through the heart behind those resolutions and the specific changes I’m making in my business.
My Words for 2026: Ease & Elevate
I chose two words to act as my North Star for 2026:
- Ease – simplifying my systems, removing fluff from my copy, automating what I can, and making the experience smoother for both you and me.
- Elevate – enriching the client experience from first touch to final gallery delivery, with thoughtful details, clear communication, and intentional touchpoints.
I’m not in a season of “double the clients, double the hustle.” I want to work smarter, not harder, and to build a business that feels sustainable, thoughtful, and genuinely joyful.
Adding Ease: Automation, SEO & Clearer Copy
Inside the episode, I chat about:
- Tightening up my SEO so KBP is easy to find in a world where people are searching through Google, Bing, and even AI tools.
- Removing the fluff from my website copy, pricing guides, and prep guides so you can quickly find what you actually came for:
Do I like her work? and How much will this cost me? - Leaning more fully into HoneyBook automations so you don’t have to wait days for a reply and I’m not drowning in my inbox.
These back-end resolutions aren’t glamorous, but they’ll create so much ease on both sides of the camera.
Elevating the Client Experience
I also share how I’m planning to elevate your experience from start to finish:
- Sending welcome boxes or “welcome to the KBP family” surprises when you book
- Adding more touchpoints after gallery delivery to make sure you feel supported
- Helping you safely store your images and actually print them so the magic we create doesn’t just live on a screen
I want your session to feel special long after we pack up the camera.
Monthly Minis All Year Long
One of my favorite resolutions?
I’m introducing monthly minis in 2026 — a different themed mini session every month.
Think:
- Motherhood minis
- Headshot minis
- Branding minis
- Heirloom minis
- Long-awaited Nutcracker minis (finally!)
- And more seasonal, intentional offerings
These will be hosted at Enlightened Pelvic Health in Maryville, a beautiful space that many of you already love.

Be Like Emme: Honoring Childhood Through Portraits
In one of the most tender parts of the episode, I share the story of Emme and her family — clients-turned-friends whose journey has inspired a new offering: Be Like Emme mini personality portraits.
These sessions will:
- Celebrate each child exactly as they are right now
- Feel like a little party inspired by Emme’s joy, creativity, and love for all things “extra”
- Include fun details like artwork, small favors, and an emphasis on individuality
It’s a heartbreaking honor to create something that keeps her memory, her spirit, and the reminder of how precious childhood is alive.
Christmas Card Workshop
Another 2026 resolution: I want to help you actually get your Christmas cards out the door.
We’ll tackle:
- Choosing images without spiraling
- Picking a design that fits your photos
- Making decisions about labs, quantities, and styles
- Or even just creating a digital “card” to share online
Whether this turns into an in-person event, a virtual workshop, or a guided service, the goal is simple: more joy, less overwhelm.
New Creative Avenues I’m Exploring
A few things I’m curious about for 2026:
- Stock photography as a creative outlet and revenue stream
- Editing services or presets for fellow photographers struggling with consistency or overwhelm
- Going out to shoot “just because” again — cityscapes, snow on trees, small details that inspire me
These aren’t fully mapped out yet, but they’re on my radar and in my notebook.
Personal Resolutions: Beyond the Business
Because this space is where motherhood and entrepreneurship beautifully collide, I also share a few personal intentions:
- Making time for sewing, just for fun
- Getting back into reading regularly
- Focusing on my health from a place of longevity and care, not numbers
The thread through all of it? Creating a life that feels aligned, sustainable, and full of small, joyful moments.
Your Turn: Make a Voice Note to Yourself
One of my favorite invitations in this episode:
Go sit in your car, your closet, or on a walk and record a voice memo to yourself about what you want 2026 to feel like.
Let it be your North Star. Revisit it monthly. Honor the version of you who is dreaming right now.
Thank you, friend, for being here—for listening, supporting, booking, sharing, and cheering alongside me. Here’s to a year of ease, elevation, and really good mini sessions.
