MAY RECAP

May oh my! I had a fellow mom send me a meme that introduced me to the concept of ‘Maycember’ and I will never look at the month of May the same ever again! Between a kindergarten graduation, field trips, field day, teacher appreciation week, talent show and ALL THE THINGS it was a wild and crazy month!

On the business front, I had the loveliest month with a wedding, several family sessions, and a handful of extended family sessions. My editing queue and my heart are overflowing with beauty + gratitude and once the kiddos hit their pillows at the end of the day, I’m racing to my computer to stay on top of all the good stuff!

You’ll see I purchased ANOTHER backdrop because I was so in love with my grey one that I just couldn’t stop there! I’ve added a blush pink backdrop to my collection and can hardly wait for all of the magic we’re sure to make with my pink lady! I also made a HUGE investment and enrolled in an in home photography mastermind! I can’t even put into words how exhilarating it is to take on a new challenge and allow myself the time and the finances to learn something new. Stay tuned in the coming weeks as I add LOTS of newness to my photography brand!

On the family front, there was cause for celebration all around! The kids have continued to excel at FOSS Swim School and we continue to love it there. With pool season upon us, I’ve found myself excited and at ease this year which is such a relief. My kids are comfortable in the water and they feel safe which in turn makes me feel safe. We have FOSS to thank! If your kiddos aren’t quite pool ready, I encourage you to hop over and take a peek at their offerings. They have camps, a summer swim semester AND you can try it for free before you commit 😀

We also celebrated our middle gal, Aurora, who graduated from Kindergarten! The ceremony had me in tears from start to finish. Ready or not-to first grade she goes! She also got a new bike so she is more than ready to blaze some trails this summer. Her sixth birthday is the first week of June and I can hardly believe it. But I won’t complain about another excuse to celebrate her!

Harper wrapped up her second grade year and one by one all of the activities drew to a close…until next year, of course. Her and some of her friends took part in the end of year talent show and it brought me back to talent show memories of my own! What a fun chapter of life she’s in, am I right?

Will continues to spend a majority of his time cruising on his bike. He had a blast cheering his sisters on this month through graduation and the talent show. He helped dad put our new swingset together and if I had to guess, his summer months will be spent either bike riding or playing on the swingset.
