There are clients who are clients first who then turn into friends. There are friends that ask for photos and therefore are friends/clients. Then there are frients (with a long I like FRY-ents as I call them) who became friends and clients at the exact same time. I actually shot the video for this family’s mom and dads wedding and now, nearly 10 years later, I have the gift of photographing their beautiful family every single year. I love hanging out with them and we’ve built such a rapport over the years that the kids like to jump in on the creativity now! They help pick spots for their individual portraits and they share posing ideas and nothing melts my heart more than when the sisters ask to be photographed together and then the brothers follow suit. It feels like an annual catch up with old friends while we collaborate and make magic and I sure wouldn’t have it any other way.
